Welcome to the Gateshead Youth Initiative CIC

We are a local non-profit organisation providing high quality youth provisions for the community of Winlaton in Gateshead. Our amazing volunteer led team is dedicated to creating safe, welcoming spaces where young people can connect, learn and grow. Since our first session in July 2025, we’ve proudly expanded to offer three youth sessions every week, supporting even more young people in our local community.

What have we achieved in 3 months?

We are proud to share what we have achieved over the past three months at Gateshead Youth Initiative. It has been a busy and rewarding time, made possible by our dedicated volunteers and amazing young people who continue to make every session a success.

Over the past three months, Gateshead Youth Initiative has delivered 26 sessions, welcomed four visitors and hosted a range of themed nights. Across our sessions, we have seen an average of 44 young people attending each week and now have 97 members aged 8 to 12 who regularly take part.

We are continuing to grow and are launching a new Youth Drop-In for young people aged 11 to 16. To make this possible, we are looking for more volunteers to join our team and help us keep creating positive opportunities for our community.
